We're excited to announce our February release, packed with features designed to enhance your Equip experience. This month, we're introducing Google Authentication for streamlined sign-in, a highly requested Calendar Sync feature to keep your Equip events aligned with your work calendar, and several other significant improvements.

Google Authentication + Sign Up

In our continuous effort to make Equip more accessible and user-friendly, we've simplified the login procedure. Now, you can effortlessly access Equip using your existing Google account. This update not only streamlines the sign-in process but also enhances security, ensuring that managing your students is more efficient and secure.

What's New?

• Google Authentication:

  Use your Google account to sign up or sign in to Equip, eliminating the need for remembering another password.

• Quick Access:

  Jump straight into Equip without the hassle of traditional login methods. More time focusing on what truly matters - progress and management.

• Enhanced Security:

  Leverage Google's robust security framework to keep your Equip account secure.

Event Syncing to External Calendar

We're thrilled to announce a much-anticipated update coming your way this February: the launch of Equip's Calendar Sync feature! This new addition is all about making your experience with Equip as efficient and integrated as possible. Now, you can effortlessly sync the events you create in Equip with your Google or Outlook calendars. This means all your important Equip events can be viewed alongside your personal or work events, bringing a new level of convenience and efficiency to your planning.

What's New?

• One-Way Sync:

  Safely sync your Equip events to your preferred external calendar. While edits can't be made outside of Equip, you'll see all your updates reflected in your Google or Outlook calendar.

• Effortless Organization:

  Keep track of your meetings, assessments, and other important events created in Equip without switching between apps.

• Real-Time Updates:

  Whenever you add, edit, or delete an event in Equip, your external calendar will automatically update, ensuring you're always in sync.

Additional Enhancements

• Allow Event Creation with Location in App:

  By empowering students to add locations to their events directly within the app, Equip is fostering greater independence and engagement, reducing reliance on staff for event setup and encouraging students to take charge of their schedules.

• Mentor Overbooking + Show Full Events:

  With the introduction of mentor overbooking, Equip is exploring new avenues to ensure event continuity and enhance reliability. This feature is set to provide a safety net for last-minute cancellations, and its impact will be carefully assessed to strike the right balance between primary and backup mentor allocations.

• Mentors Can No Longer Send Announcements:

  To streamline communication, only admins will now have the ability to send out announcements, focusing mentor interactions more on one-to-one and group sessions.

• Add Registration Date to Events Report:

  Keep track of engagement with the new feature that adds registration dates to event reports, offering deeper insights into participant involvement over time.
